Household bulky items collections
Use our bulky item collection service to dispose of large household items such as fridges, freezers, mattresses, kitchen appliances and other items that can't be thrown away using your black bin.

Request assisted bin collections
The Council's assisted collection service is available to residents with a disability or mobility problem, where no one else in the household is able to take the containers to the normal collection point.
Damaged or lost bin
If your black waste bin or green recycling bin has been lost or damaged, you can order a replacement bin by calling us or via our online form.
Garden waste (brown bin)
You can recycle garden waste and uncooked vegetable peelings in your brown bin - we collect your brown bin once a fortnight for most of the year.
Clinical or hazardous waste
We can handle clinical waste but cannot collect the listed items. For details of hazardous waste products that can be taken to Caister Recycling Centre, refer to the Norfolk County Council website.
Trade waste disposal
You cannot dispose of this waste as you would household waste. Some recycling centres will accept small amounts of commercial/trade waste at a charge.

What happens to your bins when you move
If you move home you should ensure that your black waste and green recycling bins are left at the property. Your brown bin is your property and may be taken with you when you move but you need to let us know your new address if it is within the borough.
