25. Local Lettings plans and policies
- 25.1. Local Letting plans and policies are usually introduced:
- due to planning conditions
- to deliver specific local strategic outcomes
- to balance communities to achieve sustainable neighbourhoods
- 25.2. Where a Local Letting plan or policy is in place, priority will normally be given to applicants who directly meet the criteria of the plan. A list of Local Lettings plans and polices is contained in Appendix E. Details of each Local Letting plan or policy will be available on request from the Council. Where a Local Letting policy is required as part of planning conditions in relation to an exception site, the Section 106 agreement will set out how the shortlisting process will operate.
- 25.3. All new Local Letting plans or policies amendments to current plans or policies will be agreed and approved by the the Executive Director in consultation with the Cabinet Portfolio Holder.
